Zodiac Pool Germany invited its premium dealers to Barcelona at the end of January. The background is the now completed merger of Fluidra and Zodiac. In the Barcelona area, the premium traders were able to get a picture of a total of four Fluidra production facilities. Since the announcement of the merger of the two pool heavyweights in 2017, a lot has already happened structurally. To familiarize Fluidra with its premium dealerships, Zodiac Pool Deutschland held a tour of various production sites near Barcelona on January 28 and 29.

High-Tech Plant For LEDs

The first stop was the 77-person dealer group that visited Sacopa’s production. It is a state-of-the-art plant, opened only two years ago, in which automated processes and robots are used to produce high-quality plastic products by injection molding. First and foremost, LED systems and built-in components for swimming pools, but also lighting systems for industrial plants or sports facilities are being developed here. Then it went to Poltank: Here are mainly filter vessel made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GfK) for private pools to large boilers over three meters in diameter for aquariums and recreational baths developed and produced.

The next day were two other production on the program. It started with Cepex, Fluidra’s fluid handling brand, which has been around for over 25 years. At Cepex, state-of-the-art machinery is used to manufacture valves and plastic parts for swimming pools and industry. Then it went to Metalast: The company, which has existed for 40 years, specializes in stainless steel products such as ladders, showers or built-in components.

Technology For Swimmingpools And Huge Aquariums

The Factory Tour participants were able to see the extensive quality control processes in all factories. All factories contain numerous stations and state-of-the-art equipment that tests all models and product lines for durability and functionality under the toughest of conditions, and in particular, a comprehensive quality control that is carried out piece by piece for 100 percent of the products a visit to the ocean aquarium in Barcelona, ​​at the heart of which is a huge pool of four million liters of seawater. Not only could a great variety of fish and marine life be examined there — as a special highlight the group visited the huge technical room, which is almost completely equipped with filter technology and water treatment equipment from Fluidra.
