The City Council of Seixal (Portugal) has awarded the construction works for the new Paio Pires Municipal Swimming Pool, an investment of 1.9 million euros that aims to respond “to the growing demand for infrastructures of this nature aimed at sports activities, recreational and therapeutic “. The new equipment also responds “to the expectations and wishes of the Seixal people who have always expressed their interest for a sports facility of this style”. This new sports infrastructure will contribute substantially to the healthy practice of physical exercise and sports, which bring many benefits for health and quality of life.
The City Council of Seuxal has also agreed to the assignment, for a period of twenty years, of a land of 12,885 m2 to Amora Futebol Clube. The club wants to build its training center, which will consist of a football field and all the necessary infrastructures for the practice of this modality. The City Council has also signed financial aid of 250,000 euros to support the training camp and the recovery of the spas.
